By using Philongo ("the app", "the service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The Service
Philongo is a mobile language learning application that provides structured lessons, flashcard-based vocabulary practice, quizzes, and progress tracking. The app is available for Android devices.
2. Accounts
- You can use Philongo without creating an account. Anonymous users have full access to all learning features.
- Creating an account (with email and password) enables cloud sync of your progress across devices.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes
4. Content and Intellectual Property
- All lesson content, flashcards, quizzes, graphics, and app code are owned by Philongo or its licensors
- You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially use any content from the app without written permission
- Your personal learning data (progress, flashcard state, preferences) belongs to you
5. Pricing
Philongo is currently free with no in-app purchases. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will be clearly communicated and optional. Existing free features will remain free.
6. Availability
- We aim to keep the service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access
- The app works offline. Cloud sync features require an internet connection
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access to cloud features
7. Account Termination
- You can delete your account at any time through the app settings
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Upon account deletion, your cloud data will be permanently removed within 30 days
- Local data on your device is not affected by account deletion
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. Language learning outcomes depend on individual effort and consistency.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Philongo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (which is currently zero).
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
